Ford has something really cool to show its fans at the Goodwood Festival of Speed, the fastest and most powerful snake they’ve ever made. We’re talking about the 2013 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500, which is powered by a new 5.8-liter V8 engine that produces 662 horsepower and 631 lb ft of torque.
The car isn’t available outside the US, so one had to be shipped over for the Goodwood hillclimb. It will be helped up the hill not only by its immense power, but also the stiff suspension and the Brembo brakes with six pistons for the front calipers.

This is also the first Shelby GT500 to come with launch control, a system which learns the road conditions and driver preference.

The Shelby is also equipped at Goodwood with an optional Performance Package featuring electronically adjustable dampers and a Torsen limited-slip differential, plus an additional Track Package for all-out racetrack performance including three additional coolers.

Mihnea's favorite cars have already been built, the so-called modern classics from the '80s and '90s. He also loves local car culture from all over the world, so don't be surprised to see him getting excited about weird Japanese imports, low-rider VWs out of Germany, replicas from Russia or LS swaps down in Florida.
