About one week ago we were telling you about Shelby's update 1000 model, which comes with no less than 1200 HP under the hood. The Nevada-based company claims it's the "world's most powerful production musclecar" and brought it to the New York Auto Show for everyone to see.
They say a picture is worth a thousand words. It may well be true, but the saying is not suitable here. It should be "a walk around is worth a thousand heartbeats", because the Shelby 1000 is all-black, all-mean and can take your breath away for more than a few moments. Hearing that 1200 HP powerplant roar might become lethal…
There's not much left to be said that we haven't covered already about this beast, but we'll remind you that the ludicrous amount of power comes from a 5.8-liter V8 engine enhanced with a 4.0-liter supercharger and several Shelby high-performance parts.
Only 100 examples of the 2013 Shelby 1000 will be built, which will be priced at $154,995, not including the base 2013 Shelby GT500.
