The Los Angeles International Auto Show is bringing us the first new Saleen model announcement since Steve Saleen got back behind the wheel of the brand - the Saleen 351 Mustang.
Under the hood, we’ll get the usual 351 cubic inch V8 powerplant, which will deliver 700 hp and 655 lb-ft (Nm) of torque working with a Saleen 296 supercharger. The unit will be mated to a six-speed manual transmission and a high performance clutch.
The Saleen 351 Mustang will ride on 20-inch wheels with performance rubber, while the braking system will use the tuner’s 15-inch kit. The Saleen S4 suspension will also be present.
The exterior of the vehicle will borrow elements from the Saleen 302 Mustang, using a Red Butterfly Center Ram Air Induction system, carbon fiber front and side elements, as well as a rear diffuser made from the same material.
