We were expecting Honda to brag a bit on the new bike for the 2013 MotoGP championship, but the info they released is a bit on the scarce side. However, nice, hi-res pictures have also been released together with the rather spartan spec sheet and we can say the bike looks extremely neat, though not as aggressive as some other bikes we saw.
We said the spec sheet is a bit shy because no weight has been specified. Unlike Ducati, Honda just mentions “As per FIM regulations” when it comes to weight. We're looking at a 2.052 x 645 x 1.110 mm (LxWxH) with an 1,435mm wheelbase and 115mm clearance. The RC213V V4 engine produces at least 170 kW and this means more than 231 hp, with an 1000cc displacement and sitting in an aluminium twin-tube frame.
Brembo calipers squeeze carbon front rotors and a steel rear one and the 2013 RC213V rides on Bridgestone 16.5" tires and Öhlins shocks and fork. Enjoy the pics after the jump.
