The guys at PS-Garage have completed work on yet another interesting rendering. This time, they targeted the upcoming 2013 Range Rover, the full size SUV that’s expected to debut within the next year.
The rendering is based on the most recent sighting of the car, the one with the least amount of camo from about a week ago.
As this is a car for grownups, the design changes are evolutionary, not revolutionary to ensure that current customers are willing to trade in their old RR for the new one.
The front overhang appears to have increased a little, most likely the result of Land Rover’s efforts to increase interior space by moving the engine forward ever so slightly. The bumper no longer protrudes forward of the headlights, but the grille still has a bevel underneath it.
For 2013, the full-sized Range Rover will also gain a pair of new grilles underneath the headlights, something that will make it seem more car-like.
Expect the full reveal of the new, lighter Range Rover built with extensive use of aluminum at this year’s Paris Motor Show in September.
Update: Upon closer inspection of spy photos, we discovered a new design element - a teardrop shape giving the boxy headlights more fluid side profile. This has now been added to the rendering and the adjecent image is the result.
