Land Rover Australia has announced the all-new Range Rover will be priced from $168,900 when it starts arriving at dealerships in January 2013.
The other big news is that instead of the normally aspirated 5-liter V8, the base Range Rover model, the HSE, will come with a 3.0-litre V6 diesel. The TDV6 engine makes 190 kW (258 PS) while offering 600 Nm of torque.
The model is 0.3 seconds slower to 100 km/h (62 mph) reaching the magic number in 7.9 seconds. However, it’s also about twice as efficient, promising 7.5 l/100km on the combined Australia cycle.
Meanwhile, the TDV8 is powered by a 4.4-liter V8 turbodiesel and is available from $195,100. The only petrol version is the supercharged 5-liter that starts from $224,400.
If money is no object, than the range-topping Autobiography edition is your Rangie, priced from $232,800 for the TDV8 and $240,100 for the supercharged V8.
