Ram Trucks has introduced the Black Express, a new special edition for the 2013 model year 1500 pickup truck. Described as the “baddest-looking factory-built truck on the market”, the new Ram Black Express was designed to blend style, performance, capability and value, the Chrysler brand revealed today.
Distinguished by a mean-looking all-black exterior, including black 20-inch aluminum wheels, black front fascia, grille surround, rear bumper and badges, the Ram 1500 lost all of its chrome to become the Black Express. Other enhancements include premium bi-functional halogen headlamps, 15 ambler LEDs for the park/turn/position lamps, three amber LEDs for the side markers, and blackened LED taillamps.
The 2013 Ram 1500 Black Express is available in both two and four-wheel drive versions and a choice of three body styles - regular, quad and crew cab. The new pickup truck will arrive in dealers this month with pricing starting from $26,955, not including the $1,095 destination fee. Are you reading this, Batman?
"Ram Trucks are known for their bold, in-your-face presence," said Reid Bigland, President and CEO of Ram Trucks Brand. "The new Black Express takes Ram's aggressive good looks to an all new sinister level by 'blackening out' the entire truck while maintaining a great price."
