2013 Porsche Cayenne GTS Not Coming to Geneva, Expected in Paris

Porsche is the master of releasing models that complement each other in order to create a range that perfectly suits the needs of every owner - this tendency is most visible in the 911 range, where the naturally-aspirated, turbocharged, street- and track-biased models have always been present.

This obviously translated to the carmaker’s other vehicle lines and we are here to talk about the configuration of the Cayenne, which is now expecting a new member: the GTS. The GTS will be the most powerful naturally-aspirated model, with this recipe already being used on the previous generation, where the GTS was probably the go-fast SUV available with a manual of its generation.

Porsche has given the GTS treatment to the Panamera late last year and the Cayenne will follow this year. Porsche sources have confirmed for us that the vehicle won’t be coming to the Geneva Motor Show in March, as the carmaker wants to focus on the new Boxster.

Thus, we expect the second generation of the Cayenne GTS to arrive at the Paris Auto Show in September. The vehicle will receive the same tech treatment as the Panamera GTS, which means that we’ll get a 4.8-liter V8 that has been tweaked to deliver 430 hp and a peak torque of 384 lb-ft (520 Nm), as well as a lowered suspension and a new exhaust tone. The Cayenne GTS will also receive a new body kit, one that will be inspired from that of the Cayenne Turbo.
