The Nissan Pathfinder will debut in concept form, well... it’s actually more like pre-production, later today at the 2012 Detroit Auto Show, but for those of you who can’t wait, here’s the first leaked photo of what the SUV will most likely look like when it enters production.
The full production version of the 7-seater is expected to reach the US market this fall, so what can the average consumer look forward to. Well, the body looks almost identical to that of the Los Angeles-debuting Infiniti JX, which is also a 7-seater crossover.
Nissan has reportedly dropped the body on chassis construction in form of the lighter and more economic conventional construction. This should make it better on the road and more economical as well.
The Japanese automaker has stated that the more streamlined design "takes all of Pathfinder’s traditional SUV hallmarks and wraps them in a new platform and dramatic new aerodynamic design.”
