We weren’t suppose to find out anything about the 2013 Nissan Altima prior to its official launch at the 2012 New York Auto Show. Luckily for us its public debut happened last night on the internet.

In the pictures, provided by VW Votex we can clearly see that the 2013 Nissan Altima is definitely a step forward in exterior and interior design. It now has redesigned headlights, a bigger more imposing front grille and also new taillights and bumpers.

On the interior we get the usual wood and aluminum trims, “zero-gravity” seats inspired by NASA which will ensure a comfortable ride to the moon and back. The car also has some cool features like Drive-Assist Display and an audio system from BOSE.

Under the bonnet things also seem balanced. You get to choose between a 2.5L 4-cylinder 182 hp and a 3.5L V6 270 hp engine. The fuel consumption looks good, as for the 2.5L we get 23/38/31 mpg (city/highway/combined) and 22/30/25 mpg for the 3.5 V6 powerplant.

This summer you’ll have the opportunity to buy your 2013 Nissan Altima at the price of $21,500 for the 2.5L and $30,080 for the V6 version.
