We’ve seen no spyshots of prototypes and heard no other rumors, so this news comes as a bit of a surprise to us. According to Chicago Tribune Nissan will launch the refreshed 370Z, their popular sportscar, at the 2012 Chicago Auto Show, which takes place in early February.
The last time we saw any significant changes for the 3.7-liter Z was back in 2009, so it’s about time. Nissan really has no new design language to use, though we’re still hoping for a refresh, not the usual LED+special edition.

The Z is an iconic sportscar, and one of the few pure ones that still keeps a normally aspirated engine at the front and the power going to the rear. It’s also one of our favorites in the segment, so we hope Nissan sees fit to add some power to the 3.7-liter in order to keep up with the Hyundai Genesis Coupe.

He also loves local car culture from all over the world, so don't be surprised to see him getting excited about weird Japanese imports, low-rider VWs out of Germany, replicas from Russia or LS swaps down in Florida.
