Weather Underground offers some possible courses the Typhoon Francisco may follow during the next 5 days, and it seems to come a bit too close to the Tokyo area. After the crazy round at Phillip Island, having the Japan GP affected by a typhoon is not exactly the kind of thrill we're looking for.
While on Saturday, Francisco became a category 5 supertyphoon with winds just under the top MotoGP speeds (315km/h or 195.7 mph wind speed ), Monday saw a decrease in violence and the threat was reduced to category 3, but the gusts remained well into the usual Superbike speed range, around 220 km/h or 136.7 mph.

The weather specialists say that Francisco's destructive might should become weaker and weaker as it travels north, but still a tropical storm with heavy rains could be just as normal on Friday in the Tokyo region.

And with the Motegi Twin Ring Circuit some 100 (or so) kilometers (62 miles) away from the capital Tokyo (in a straight line), things are not exactly peachy. Remeber Honda's tests hampered by rain this year?
