2013 MotoGP: Will Nakasuga Help Lorenzo Hold Marquez at Bay at Motegi?

We already knew that Katsuyuki Nakasuga was to be a part of the Japan Grand Prix since late August, when the GP Commission confirmed his wildcard appearance at Motegi, aboard an M1 Yamaha bike.

However, quite a lot of things happened since mid-season, and especially in the last round, at Phillip Island in Australia. Namely, Marquez and his team made a mistake so he was disqualified, reducing the comfortable lead he had over Lorenzo to a much more unrest-causing 18 points.

Now, Nakasuga proved that he can ride extremely well last year during the Valencia round, where he finished second in a difficult, wet race.

Definitely fast and experienced, Yamaha's test rider could play an extremely significant role in the Sunday race, as we're ever so positive that if he has the chance to help Lorenzo in any way, he will not have any second thoughts.

Both him and Yamaha know that a test race give or take is something they all can do without, when weighted against the 2013 title. So Nakasuga's wildcard presence in the Motegi round is clearly one more thrilling factor in deciding who becomes the 2013 World MotoGP Champion.

Oh, and wet conditions are expected Friday, and Nakasuga seems to enjoy riding in the wet...
