Tension mounts Down Under, as the next MotoGP round, the Tissot Australian Grand Prix race date is drawing near. In case Honda's Marc Marquez manages to extend his lead over reigning champion Jorge Lorenzo to 51 points, he will become the new rookie champion.
However, the other two riders behind him, Lorenzo and team mate Pedrosa have not given up the fight. Save for some truly unfortunate turn of events which would see Marquez not scoring any points, the Australian round could determine the 2013 champ two races before the end of the season.

Dani Pedrosa is back in a great shape and won the first race of the season's triple header at Sepang, and despite the fact that his chances for the title are as thin as it gets, he announces his intentions to give the rookie quite a run for his money.

The same goes for the standing champion, Yamaha's Lorenzo. He seems to accept the fact that 2013 is not going to end in Yamaha glory, but the Mallorcan warned that Phillip Island will be a battlefield, with no resignation and no running away.

We're happy for Marquez, but at the same time, we'd somehow wish the season be decided at Valencia. And we bet many of you feel the same.
