It's a wrap at Sepang, as the first two FP sessions are over, still with Pedrosa being in the leading position. The Spaniard actually improved his FP1 time and lapped the Malaysian circuit in 2m00s554, about 2 tenths away form Lorenzo's fastest-ever record.
Marquez was the second-fastest for the day, but dropped to more than half a second behind his team mate. Third was Cal Crutchlow, who apparently managed to defeat the pain in his (still swollen) right arm. Still his bike doesn't seem to be able to put up enough straight line speed, but the current setup appears to work well in corners and make up for the 0.3 seconds lost in long lines.

On the other hand, the factory Yamaha bikes seem to have fallen a bit behind, Rossi in 4th and Lorenzo and 6th. While Rossi rode better in FP2, Lorenzo had mid-corner grip and acceleration problems and did not look too happy after the session. The reigning champion says his mechanics are already trying to figure out a solution for tomorrow.
