2013 MotoGP: Motegi FP Canceled for All Three Classes

It was far from an ideal start for the Japan Grand Prix at Motegi, as the inclement weather forced the organizers to cancel the morning free practice sessions.

All three classes have been affected by the dense fog joined by drizzle and which then turned into a steady rain before noon, local time.

Low visibility and reduced grip determined the Race Direction to call off the first practice session and a meeting, followed by a press conference have been scheduled for the afternoon. Race Direction will discuss the possible course of actions taking into account the current weather and the forecasts. The meeting is scheduled at 4 pm local time (GMT+9), with the press conference 45 minutes later. We'll keep you posted.

Anyway, the Motegi round is as crucial as the past one at Phillip Island, with Marquez 18 points ahead of Lorenzo, and with his first-ever premiere class title within grasp. We cannot foresee the weather for this weekend in Japan, but we definitely foresee two fiery last rounds this season.
