The Race Direction are analyzing the Sunday incident between Marc Marquez and his team mate Dani Pedrosa in the 6th lap of the Aragon round. In case the Racing Direction decides in favor of a penalty, Marquez could start from the back of the grid at Sepang, in Malaysia.
The past round saw Dani Pedrosa crashing in a very weird way, highsiding after exiting a turn, his team mate Marquez collided with his bike prior to the crash.

However, it was not the bikes touching which caused Pedrosa to crash. As Marquez clashed into his fellow rider's bike, he tore off the rear wheel speed sensor cable which fed info to the bike's traction control computer.

Remaining upright after the clash but unaware of this, Pedrosa throttled hard out of the turn, but his bike suddenly become very unstable, literally bucking him into a spectacular high-speed highside.
Pedrosa had a bad fall but he was alright: “The positive part is that I am physically okay. I had a big impact on my hip and my lower back, but it is nothing really to worry about at the moment. I am just hoping to get physically well for the next race. I have zero points (as a result of the incident) but it wasn’t my mistake today - that is what I take from it.”

Marquez has already been handed 2 penalty points for not slowing down as the practice at Silverstone was yellow flagged due to Crutchlow having crashed. We're waiting for the Race Direction to surface a verdict these days.

In case they find Marquez at fault, we might see him start from the back of the grid at Sepang in mid-October. While Marquez achieved a victory in Moto2 after such a penalty, MotoGP is definitely not as easy a task. And with him in the back of the grid, we might see a new turn in the championship...
