Crash fest in Assen today, as well, as Repsol Honda's rooking extraordinaire Marc Marquez crashed spectacularly in FP3, at the end of his second lap on slick tires.
As the rain ended and the track was pretty much dry, some riders switched to slick tires, but it looks like this move was a bit too early. The first MotoGP rider to find out was Marquez who had a violent crash a short distance from the place where Jorge Lorenzo crashed yesterday, fracturing his left collarbone.
Marquez slid away along the asphalt trapped under his bike, and once he reached the gravel patch, he also tumbled several times. He walked away from the crash site pretty shaken but it looks like he has not sustained major injuries, despite his heavily scraped and torn leathers.
Update from Repsol Honda pits: Marc Marquez is alright, he's in one whole piece and nothing's broken. Lucky!
