Team Avintia Blusens announces that Ivan Silva will eb the substitute rider for Hiroshi Aoyama in the next race of the season, the Dutch round at Assen.
Aoyama lost a part of one of his fingers after he had a very bad crash during the Saturday practice runs of the Catlaunya Grand Prix two weeks ago.

Silva has raced for the MotoGP team back in 2012 and his bets position was the 12th place at Indianapolis. Ivan Silva is currently third in the Stock Extreme series of the Spanish CEV championship and he said he needs to get acquainted with a CRT machine quite quickly: “I am thrilled to return to the World Championship with Avintia Blusens. I will have to get used to riding the CRT again but I am delighted to be back here and looking forward to seeing how the bike has evolved,” Silva told MotoGP.com.

Since we saw substitute riders such as Michele Pirro (replacing Ducati's Ben Spies) perform quite well this year, we're looking forward to see Ivan Silva race at Assen. And at the same time, cheer for Hiroshi's recovery.
