It's been a busy day at the Marco Simoncelli Circuit in Misano, as another official post-race test brought all the teams back on the San Marino asphalt. Honda's Marc Marquez topped the time sheets, followed by Jorge Lorenzo and Valentino Rossi.
Both Honda and Yamaha have brought their unliveried 2014 prototypes and it was obvious that they have started getting closer to a racing setup for the new machinery. Honda also tested a new swingarm and a new rear shock for the current RC123V machines, but Pedrosa only came in 6th, behind Cal Crutchlow and Alvaro Bautista.

Ducati works bikes focused on bigger brakes for the Motegi round on Nicky Hayden's bike, and software development and cluthc settings for Andrea Dovizioso. Ducati test riders Michele Pirro and Franco Battaini were also present to test the 2014-spec engine and some new software. In the Ducati satellite team Pramac, Yonny Hernandez met the GP13 bike for the first time and was the 16th fastest.

Suzuki has also bene testing the bike they plan to come back with in 2015, with Randy de Puniet and Nobuatsu Aoki as riders. Their test continues through Wednesday as they are gathering important data on yet another circuit, helping them continuing the development of their new motorcycle.

CRT teams have also been present, with NGM testing the new Magneti Marelli software release, while Avintia Blusens focused on general settings and the engine failure which let Hiroshio Aoyama down during the past weekend, and pneumatic valves for Hector Barbera.

PBM's Michael Laverty did a back-to-back comparison between the ART and PBM machinery, while at Came Ioda, Superstock 1000 rider Michele Magnoni rode Lukas Pesek's bike. Magnoni is also said to become Came Ioda's official reserve rider.

While Jorge Lorenzo was in the leading position, Marquez did a 2-tenths faster lap just before the chequered flag ended the 8-hour test.
