There is some stir in the Yamaha MotoGP teams, as things are a bit unclear. Yamaha told the media some things about having the current Moto2 runner-up Pol Espargaro signed with the Tech3 for 2014, but now Yamaha Racing's Herve Poncharal says he is not exactly "in the know".
With Pol aboard the Yamaha MotoGP crew and Cal Crutchlow's contract ending as the current season ends, things seem to be pretty obvious, as himself declared. Poncharal adds that he never spoke to Espargaro on behalf of the Tech3 Team and that he does not know the terms and stage of negotiations between the Spaniard and the satellite team.
However, there have been some talks, Poncharal admits. Back on the vague declaration side, the Yamaha official reduntantly reminds us that there are 4 Team Blue bikes in MotoGP and Crutchlows is the only rider among the 4 with a one-season contract... which led some think that he will be let go.
