Marc Marquez is definitely the man of the moment in MotoGP. The Honda rookie has showed extreme speed and some consistent riding in the pre-season tests at Sepang and Circuit of the Americas, and is expected to be a real game changer in the present series.
Speaking about some of his fellow riders, Ducati star Nicky Hayden mentions Valentino Rossi as being a very good team mate and Andrea Dovizioso as a man who really loved bikes. Marquez however, is a phenomenon, Hayden adds.

Far from being simply fast at a given time, Marquez has showed that he can be fast on a regular basis. After winning the Moto2 world series, Marquez is not in his first MotoGP season, and it looks like he's really enjoying it.

Hayden admits he and more of the older, more experienced riders believed Marquez would need more time to get acquainted to MotoGP riding, but the 2013 tests proved them all wrong. Nicky Hayden sees Marquez as the one rider who will brings back excitement to the MotoGP races, provided that his performance will be just as good during the races.

Andrea Dovizioso, another Ducati star is a bit more reserved as far as Marquez' speed is concerned. Dovi claims that being fast during one or more laps in a test in one thing, whereas being able to beat a rider like Jorge Lorenzo (Rossi's Yamaha team mate) is a completely different one.

Dovizioso adds that Lorenzo's skills are very good in all racing domains, and he's not the kind of rider to make errors. Dovi also admits that Marquez could indeed become a world champion in 2013, but the battle will be extremely tough.

Next in MotoGP we'll be at Jerez in Spain, for the last tests before the initial official calendar entry, the Qatar race. Via GP Inside.
