2013 MotoGP: Carlo Pernat - Rossi or Marquez Winning in Qatar Changes Racing

Carlo Pernat: manager, racing director, talent scout and visionnaire. He looks at the MotoGP season which will kick off in just few days and sees an already decisive round in Qatar.

The Italian manager sees 4 riders who are capable of winning the championship, but in the case of two, things are really interesting. Pernat says that the 2013 season is already interesting, with so many contenders which have real chances to make it to the top in Qatar. However, if Lorenzo or Pedrosa win the kick-off round, it's nothing new, as everybody expects one of them to do so.

With the other two, Rossi and Marquez, things are so much different, Pernat adds. Rossi is back on a good bike after 2 fruitless years with Ducati: if he wins in Qatar it's another way to slam the fist in the table and start reclaiming his crown. Which is of course, “game on” in an “all-out war”.

On the other hand, Marc Marquez could also win his first-ever MotoGP race on April 7 in Qatar and send an even more frightful message throughout the paddocks: “ I am a rookie, I am young, but I am ready!” Which in turn, changes the whole game once more, Carlo Pernat believes.

With 10 days until the first MotoGP race of the 2013 season, we can barely wait to see how a 4-way war is being fought.
