He also crashed in FP4 in Qatar earlier this year and decided to see to his health after several more attempts to race. The doctors urged him to take a break until completely healing lest very severe complications ensued. It's at Indianapolis where Ben's current season starts properly, and he's feeling very confident, especially after having followed all the recovery treatments according to what the doctors said.

"I am going to be 100% at Indy and I am just getting ready. I’m feeling good…it’s the first time I haven’t really been in pain and I am looking forward to getting back on the bike. The start of my season is at Indy,” Ben Told MotoGP.com smiling.

The 29-year-old Ben Spies is currently in the 18th position in the provisional world rankings, with 9 points, 8 down on FTR Kawasaki's Colin Edwards. The MotoGP season resumes on Friday August 16th, with the round at the iconic Brickyard in Indianapolis.
