Daimler today unveiled the brand new Mercedes Benz SL 65 AMG, and to sum this car up we’d say it’s really powerful, really beautiful an too expensive.
Still, if you lime Mercedes cars but think the SLS is ugly, this costs just as much and offers an alternative.

The big story with the R231 SL 65 AMG is that it’s powered by a 6.0-liter V12 biturbo engine that generates 630 PS ( 621 hp). The engine is so strong and manly that they’ve had to limit the torque output to 1000Nm (737 lb-ft), because the rest of it couldn’t keep up.

All this power and a AMG Speedshift Plus 7G-Tronic transmission means you’ll get from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4 seconds. If you drive it like a Prius and change gears really low, you might even manage Mercedes’ claims that economy has been improved by 17% to 11.6 l/100km.

The SL 65 AMG is only for the uber-rich and the ultra-fans of the SL, because it costs no less than €236,334 in Germany.
