2013 Mercedes Benz SL Roadster: First Video Released

Mercedes usually brings out a bunch of boring B-roll films to go with a new car, but they must be so proud of how the new SL Roadster came out that they went all out and produced a promo film featuring highlights of the car’s abilities.
The brand new SL Roadster, code-named R231, is supposedly much lighter, thanks mainly to an aluminum chassis. The suspension setup borrows from the SLS supercar, and both of these improvements have translated in a faster, more agile car.

When it comes to looks, the front end borrows heavily from the SLK. It also looks stunning in silver and Mercedes has also revealed the "Edition 1", on sale for a limited time and offering AMG wheels, body kit and a designo paintwork and interior.
