2013 Mercedes Benz GL-Class Luxury SUV Unveiled

The Mercedes-Benz GL-Class is an excellent off-roader, it’s luxurious, it’s extremely spacious and it’s a perfect SUV to drive towards your business meeting or why not, it can help you go camping. It’s German made, it has seven seats and is described by Mercedes as the S-Class of SUVs.

It has the same wheelbase as the generation it replaces, it’s 5,120mm (201 inches) long, 2,141mm (84 inches) wide and 1,849 mm (72 inches) tall, so that makes it the largest SUV Mercedes offers. It was also designed to take an important leading place in safety and comfort charts.

The driver and the passengers can enjoy the ride without the car giving them the impression of tightness, even if it is an SUV with three rows of seats. It’s loaded with features like color instrument cluster display, self-leveling air suspension, Collision Prevention Assist and Crosswind Stabilization.

If you want more, you can choose the multi-color Ambient Lightning, PARKTRONIC and Active Parking Assist, On- and Off-Road Package, surround view camera, adaptive highbeam assist or the impressive panorama roof.

Three powerplants are available: the V6 GL350 BlueTec and two twin-turbo V8s - GL450 and GL550. GL350 offers 240 hp and 616Nm (455 pound-feet), the GL450 obtains 362hp and 549 Nm (406 lb-ft) and the top engine has 429 hp and 698 (516 lb-ft).
