One of the most important new cars to arrive at next week’s Geneva Motor Show is the 2013 Mercedes-Benz A-Class, a vehicle that promises to not only offer us a new generation, but redefine its identity.
Mercedes has previously released teaser photos of the vehicle’s interior, while the car itself was spied uncovered, so we really have an idea of what’s coming. However, Mercedes has recently released a teaser image of the car, which is actually a design sketch.

Under the styling cues, we’ll find Mercedes’ new MFA platform, with the carmaker insisting that the A-Class should be seen as a compact vehicle rather than an entry-level one for its range.

As for the engine range, this will be borrowed from the new B-Class, which means that we’ll get petrol units with outputs ranging between 109 and 204 hp, as well as diesel with outputs of between 122 and 204 hp. In addition to that, AMG will also target the car, willing to release a hot hatch that will top the 340 hp Audi RS3 in terms of power.
