Mazda has officially announced that the CX-5 compact crossover that was officially unveiled in Frankfurt back in September will now make its North American debut at the 2011 Los Angeles International Auto Show.
The Japanese manufacturer hopes to make a dent in the competitive market with its all-new SKYACTIV technologies, such as the SKYACTIV-G 2.0-liter gasoline engine, SKYACTIV-MT six-speed manual transmission, SKYACTIV-Drive six-speed automatic transmission, SKYACTIV-Body and SKYACTIV-Chassis.

Also on show will be the MX-5 Spyder concept, which debuted earlier this month at the annual Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) Show in Las Vegas, plus the full Mazda range of 2012 models, which includes the Mazda2, Mazda3, Mazda5, Mazda6, MX-5 Miata, CX-7 and CX-9.

He also loves local car culture from all over the world, so don't be surprised to see him getting excited about weird Japanese imports, low-rider VWs out of Germany, replicas from Russia or LS swaps down in Florida.
