Did you know we are writing this article while riding backwards on a horse? Of course you didn’t, and you probably don’t know that Lincoln teased the 2013 MKZ grille in a video shown at the debut of the MKS and MKT?
According to BlueOvalForums, this very shape was seen in the backgrounds the chief of design for Lincoln said more change is to come in January 2012. Put two and two together and you realize the shape of the Lincoln mid-size will also be refreshed from the A-pillar forward in time for a reveal at the 2012 North American International Auto Show in Detroit.

Chief Designer Max Wolff describes the new shape as having a clear attention to detail. The grille has been split in the middle and joined on each side with the lights. The new MKZ looks like it has some extra bends in the shape, but we’ll know for sure at the beginning of next year.

Here’s a video of the MKS reveal, so you know we’re not making this up (watch at 2:40).
