The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) has named the 2013 Lexus GS as a Top Safety Pick. This is the third Lexus model in the lineup to earn a score of ‘Good’ in all the crash tests it’s subjected to - frontal impact, side impact and rear impact, plus the roof strength test that measures structural rigidity should you roll the car over.
As a credit to Lexus’ attention to this last aspect of testing, the 2013 GS sedan stood up to a force 4.88 times greater than its own weight, surpassing the IIHS standard of 4 times the weight.

The 2013 GS sedan is also available with active safety systems, like the optional active cruise control with per-collision warning system and brake intervention. It also comes with lane departure warning, a head-up display, and night vision.

Mihnea's favorite cars have already been built, the so-called modern classics from the '80s and '90s. He also loves local car culture from all over the world, so don't be surprised to see him getting excited about weird Japanese imports, low-rider VWs out of Germany, replicas from Russia or LS swaps down in Florida.
