2013 Lexus ES Released in Malaysia

Lexus Malaysia has officially launched the new 2013 Lexus ES model on the local market, through a nice ceremony at the Life Centre in Kuala Lumpur.
Situated between the sporty IS and the executive class GS, the Lexus ES is offered in three variants - ES 250, ES 250 Luxury and ES 300h hybrid.

The ES 250 is powered by a 2.5-liter Dual VVT-i four-cylinder engine making 181 hp and 235 Nm of torque, which is mated to a six-speed Super ECT auto transmission, enabling the sedan to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 9.8 seconds and reach a top speed of 207 km/h.

For greenheads, the ES 300h comes equipped with a 2.5-liter single VVT-i Atkinson cycle four-cylinder engine making 158 hp and 213 Nm, helped by a 105 kW electric motor which ramps up the total output to 202 hp. Bolted to an eCVT, the ES 300h reaches 0 to 100 km/h in 8.5 seconds and a max speed of 180 km/h.

All versions ride on 17-inch aluminum wheels and are fitted with standard features like cruise control, 10-way powered front seats, reverse camera, Remote Touch Controller, 7-inch infotainment system, keyless entry and start, LED daytime running lights, eight-speaker premium sound system, Bluetooth connectivity and more.

Pricing for the three models was also announced and it’s set at RM259,800 for the ES 250, RM279,800 for the ES 250 Luxury and RM353,000 for the ES 300h.
