2013 will be by far a most interesting year for the fans of the middleweight class bikes, now that KTM has announced their new racer for the next season in the shape of the RC 250 R, also suffixed Production Racer.
The new bike is derived from the new Moto3 winner machine and will sport pretty much the same performance, with some minor changes which make the new ride street-legal. KTM notes that should anyone feel like taking their new 2013 KTM RC 250 R Production Racer for a track day, all the racing-specced parts could be effortlessly installed on the street bike.

The 2013 KTM RC 250 R Production Racer will be powered by a 4-stroke 249.5cc single-cylinder engine delivering 37kW (50,3 PS) of power, running with a 6-speed gearbox, straight teeth primary drive and chain final drive.

Suspension will be WP and will offer no less than 20 levels of adjustment for both front and rear, while Brembo brakes will be installed on the 17”wheels. An Akrapovic 107 dB (open) and 100 dB (dB killer installed) exhaust will be loaded on the 2013 KTM RC 250 R Production Racer and the 760mm seat will be 6mm +/- adjustable.

The expected dry weight is around 82 kg (181 lbs) and no price has been disclosed as of now. Pictures via Derestricted.
