The 2013 KTM range is going about in brighter color schemes involving white and grey coupled with the traditional orange, but things are not becoming less aggressive, not by a long shot. And just to prove that, take a look at the newest action pictures of the 2013 KTM 690 Duke R.
Ergonomics have been updated to a more aggressive, forward position offering even better control with less effort. It may look relaxing, but if you're going to ride hard, you'll appreciate the 840mm wide handlebar and the crashbars. They'll stop looking neat as you spill the first time, but hey, then it's like a ragged battle flag, and if you're still riding it means you won.

The tube frame and swing arm are lighter and stronger, and so are the new wheels. And since we're talking about the R, we're also talking about a sport-tuned Bosch ABS to tame the 690cc LC4 engine. Drive-by-wire technology makes sure the throttle response is as precise on the bike as it is in the rider's mind, for confident maneuverability and high performance.

And with the claw-shifted 6-speed gearbox delivering 69 HP, the anti-hopping clutch only seems natural, as downshifting is a key element in riding the 2013 KTM 690 Duke R. Finally, with a weight under 150 kg (331 lbs) grants even better handling and better fuel economy.
