There’s a big window of opportunity that has opened up for the Korean automakers, as they stand a chance to gobble up more of the global market while the Japanese are still struggling due to the strong yen and other previous setbacks.
Kia is the smaller of the two major South Korean automakers, but their designs are bolder and sometimes better received in reviews and awards. However, some cars that they heavily rely on in their sales charts still need a substantial revision. Just about every month of sales increases Kia announces, its top performer is the C-segment Cerato, Forte or K3, depending on the market.
There have been no official announcements regarding a Forte successor, but rumor has it the car designed by Peter Schreyer, the same person responsible for the GT concept and the Picanto.
