2013 Kawasaki ZZR1400 Is Not Everybody's Toy

A new-era shines bright for Kawasaki's large sport-touring bikes, as the ZZR1400 is leading the charts. The new machine is now better than ever and comes with more comfort and more power than everybody expected.

The new ZZR1400 comes with an increased displacement now reaching 1441ccc and offering immense power from 4000 rpm already. Being the the world's strongest acceleration mass -production bike means it is no toy – it literally is lightning-fast right from the start and the higher the revs, the higher the power.

A redesigned aluminium monocoque frame was needed so despite its old looks, more than half of the chassis is all-new. Aerodynamics and ergonomics have also been substantially enhanced, and the 2013 ZZR1400 has even received retractable luggage hooks under the seat.

The 2013 model is the first one to receive a back-torque limiting clutch for smoother downshifting and the now the Kawasaki traction-control system works for flawless grip on difficult surfaces.

Add in the new transmission, redesigned seat and headlights, a more comprehensive dash panel and lighter wheels and you get the ultimate sport-touring machine. Countless accessories are available, as well.
