2013 Infiniti EV Sketch Released

Preparing the debut of the brand’s first hybrid, the M35h, Japanese luxury car manufacturer Infiniti had just revealed a teaser sketch showing its first electric vehicle and confirmed its 2013 launch.

The sketch was shown by Infiniti’s Senior Vice President, Andy Palmer, during a ceremony held to mark the opening of the Infiniti Centre Piccadilly in London.

“Befitting the brand’s promise of “Inspired Performance , the Infiniti EV will be a stylish, compact, high performance, five-seat luxury car with zero emissions technology,”
the company says in a statement.

The opening ceremony also featured the presence of the Essence concept car, a 592bhp luxury hybrid coupe, along with its production siblings including the all-new M Line. On sale now, the M is available in V6 petrol and V6 diesel forms, with the hybrid variant to debut next spring.

Scheduled to be showcased at the upcoming auto show in Paris this week, the M35h will come with the new steering and braking technologies, as well as impressive performance figures.

The boutique-style Infiniti Centre at 77 Piccadilly is the second retail outlet to be opened in the British Isles during the past 12 months with distribution partner Rymco UK, after the unveiling of the inaugural Centre in Reading, Berkshire.

As with all of the manufacturer’s outlets across Europe, Infiniti’s 203 sqm three-car showroom at 77 Piccadilly also reflects the ‘Inspired Performance’ philosophy.

The first European Infiniti Centre was opened in Paris on 1 October 2008, followed by Centres in major cities including Madrid, Barcelona, Valencia, Milan, Athens, Antwerp, Warsaw, Rome, Tel Aviv, Zurich, Rotterdam, Sofia, Amsterdam, Prague, Padua, Brussels, Geneva, Budapest, Istanbul, Reading, Hamburg, Bologna, Bucharest, Lyon, Dresden, Zagreb, Kattowitz and Cannes.
