One of the most interesting body configurations on the market has gotten even better, as the Hyundai Veloster has finally seen the arrival of the 2013 Turbo version at the Detroit Motor Show. The car is packed with 201 horsepower of goodness, plus amazing content and a ground effects body kit.
The Veloster Turbo makes use of an advanced new 1.6-liter T-GTDI engine with direct-injection and twin-scroll turbocharging. The brand new unit packs an impressive 201 hp in US spec, as well as delivering 195 lb-ft (264Nm) of torque from 1,750-4,500.
The engine is available with either a six-speed manual or an optional automatic with wheel-mounted paddle shifters. Hyundai estimates the car will do 27 mpg city and 38 mpg in its manual form.
