The new Hyundai Santa Fe, or ix45 if you’re talking about the European market, is probably going to be one of the most appreciated new vehicles coming from the Korean carmakers this year. We say that because the car that will debut at the 2012 New York Auto Show will probably sit on top of most larger families’ shopping list if Hyundai plays its cards right.
We’ve seen plenty of spyshots so far and we’ve guessed at what the ‘fluidic sculpture’ design language will bring. Well now the guessing game is over. As Hyundai-Blog has a couple of photos showing the both the front and the back of the crossover.
Up front, we have a hexagonal chrome grille with the usual three strips. The headlights look similar to those on the new Genesis Coupe and are much more inspired than the ones on the current Santa Fe. LED lights are present in the surround of the fog lights and the lower bumper is deep and exudes a strong presence.
The back end is a big Audi Q7-inspired, while the side has two character lines, one flowing from the taillights and the other flowing from behind the front wheelarch.
