Hyundai has finally finished playing with its sedans and the Santa Fe SUV is getting the makeover it deserves. A brand new generation vehicle will make its debut at the New York International Auto Show, which starts April 4th, and the good news is the design is much more exciting than before, and the powertrains are rumored to be amazing as well.
Ahead of the official debut and most likely as a response to some Leaked brochure scans, Hyundai has today released a fresh set of images for the Santa Fe. This gives us a much better view at both the headlights and taillights, both of which having switched to LED technology.
Hyundai has announced that the car will have 19-inch aluminum wheels, Lane Departure Warning System (LDWS), which warns drivers when the vehicle strays from its lane, as well as a 7-airbag system that includes knee airbags.

Hyundai Blue Link will be installed as an option for the first time on one of their SUV models. This offers remote access features that work with smart devices, voice text messaging and enhanced roadside assistance.

Rumor has it the us range will se the 2.0-liter T-GDi from the 2013 Genesis Coupe being offered as an alternative to the V6, together with a a 2.0 GDi with 200 hp. In Europe and Korea, the ix45 as it will be named there will also offer a 2.2-liter CRDi diesel with 225 thanks to a two-stage turbo system.
