When the Holden Malibu goes on sale next year in Australia, it will do so offering buyers a choice of two four-cylinder engines, Holden has announced.
The base car will have a 2.4-liter four-cylinder DOHC petrol. Official figures have not been released yet, but expect 123 kW (167 hp) and 225 Nm (166 lb-ft) of torque.
The other engine choice will be a 2.0-liter Common Rail turbo diesel powertrain which should be rated at 118 kW (160 hp) and 350 Nm (258 lb-ft) of torque.
The 2013 Malibu sedan has been actively tested on Australia’s roads to best meet the standards of drivers there. It’s also going to be handsomely well equipped, with standard Rear Park Assist, Electronic Stability Control (ESC), passive entry and start with sensor key, colour touchscreen and premium audio system.
