For decades, batmobiles had wings on the back and gimmicky gadgets meant to tie up or stun the Joker, Penguin or Catwoman. But director Christopher Nolan had a completely different vision of the caped crusader and he wanted a batmobile that seemed real.

After many months of research and testing, the tumbler was born. Part tank and part stealth aircraft, it had lethal looks and lethal firepower, and everybody loved it. So much so, in fact, that people wanted tumblers of their own to use in real life.

Obviously, not everybody can play Bruce Wayne, but money doesn’t seem to be a problem for Team Galag. These fellas got themselves a real tumbler to use in the 2012 edition of the Gumball 3000 rally, where they are entered as Team 73.

Our friend Shmee150 managed to film the car right after it had received its wrap in time for its debut tomorrow at the Copenhagen Opera House. You guys can follow Team Galag on their official Facebook page, and you should definitely check out these photos of how the tumble was built!

Mihnea's favorite cars have already been built, the so-called modern classics from the '80s and '90s. He also loves local car culture from all over the world, so don't be surprised to see him getting excited about weird Japanese imports, low-rider VWs out of Germany, replicas from Russia or LS swaps down in Florida.
