Motorsport Magazine from France has put the the new Golf GTI to the test and posted this video to prove it.
The car they tested is a 230 PS version, fitted to the Golf GTI with the Performance package and the DSG gearbox. This car is officially rated at 0 to 100 km/h in 6.4 seconds and a top speed of 248 km/h.
As tested, the 5-door model weighs 1307 kg and costs €32,950. Quite expensive for a hot hatch, but that's the VW way.
If you watch the fuel gage really carefully, you'll notice the level actually falls about 5% during the test, which is funny.
