Have you ever wondered how modern Formula One cars would look like if wrapped in the classic liveries from the 1970s or the 1980s? Well, the people over at Escape Artist Design have rendered 2013 F1 cars in “some of the best liveries from the last couple of decades”.
They’ve included some great classics such as Lotus’ Gold Leaf theme from the late 1960s, the familier Elf Tyrrell blue paint scheme or Hesketh’s plain white livery that dressed Alan Jones’ single-seater in the 1970s. The renderings also include the Championship-winning McLaren-Honda Marlboro, the Benetton’s Camel livery, as well as the 1992 Williams FW14 used by Nigel Mansell.
Head over to our photo gallery section to see them all and don’t be shy about sharing your opinion on these renderings. What retro liveries would you add to the 2013 F1 car?
