Ford today announced that the 2013 Taurus SHO will be a bit more expensive than last year, sitting at $27,395, including the $795 destination charge.
Meanwhile, the Taurus SHO that comes with a 3.0-liter V6 Ecoboost, 19-inch wheels and 365 horsepower, AWD and SelectShift gearbox is now $1,000 more expensive at 39,995. Ford also offers bigger 20-inch wheels and performance summer tires, in the Performance Package.
The biggest changes for the Taurus as a 2013MY is that the 2.0-liter four-cylinder EcoBoost engine has been added to the range. On paper, this 237 hp unit is good for 31 mpg highway.
“Across the board, all new Taurus models will receive a larger brake master cylinder with revised booster tuning, resulting in a shorter pedal ratio and dramatically improved pedal feel. Brake friction material has been upgraded for improved fade resistance and performance,” Ford boasts.
