It looks like more Ford than ever on US roads will come with the mobile driver connectivity provided by their SYNC system, as Dearborn has announced all 2013 Fusion models, no matter what trim level, will come with the device installed as standard. What’s more, the refreshed 2013 model year Ford Flex also gets the same feature.
“Ford SYNC technology has led the industry in transforming the way we connect to our cars,” said Dave Mondragon, Ford general marketing manager. “SYNC has enabled Ford drivers to take advantage of the latest communication and entertainment technology with an easily upgradeable architecture that is friendly to use.”

Nine states have now completely banned the use of hand-held phones by drivers with at least 35 states prohibiting texting behind the wheel. So SYNC is as useful now as it’s ever going to be.
