We find it a bit frustrating that the new Ford Focus ST road car has not yet fallen into our hands yet, and already its track-ready brother, the Focus ST-R has hit the racing scene in force. This Friday, the car will participate in the Grand-Am 200 that takes place at the Daytona Motor Speedway.
This car is purpose-built for Grand-AM ST class, but it’s also viable for the World Challenge’s TC Class, Canadian Touring Car and will even be able to race in the Nurburgring 24 Hours. (It’s available as a turn-key racer for a staggering price of $98,995.
“The road-going Focus features best-in-class handling, powertrains and brakes and has helped us develop a global technical specification for teams wanting to race the new Focus cost effectively,” says Ford’s global motorsport activities Jost Capito.
