Caterham is famous for the cars but it looks like the manufacturer is taking a shot at two-wheeled glory as well. No less than 3 prototypes have been presented at the 2013 EICMA in Milan, two of them electric and one with a traditional IC engine.
The move is a natural one as the operation of Caterham have been constantly expanding after the company changed hands in April 2011, and the Caterham Moto Racing Team is the latest addition to the portofolio.

Far more from being mere design sketches, the three bikes will enter production stage in the next spring, with the Brutus 750 being the first model.

Caterham Brutus 750 is also named the SUV of motorcycles, as it's beefy tires can ride on the road, off the road and the bike can be even transformed into a snow-mobile, with a special kit which takes under 4 hours to install.

The Classsic E-Bike and the Carbon E-Bike share the same 36V, 250W motor and a battery pack which will suffice for 25 to 50 miles (40-80 km) depending on usage. Since both have pedals, we're most likely looking at pedelecs, with the upper range figure in minimal assist mode.

We'll be back with more details as the bikes get closer to a final form. The new Caterham division will have Al-Ishsal Ishak as CEO, fresh from ending his involvement with AirAsia.
