It looks like Bimota is once again trying to make it big in the superbike world, and we applaud the unveiling of the BB3 machine at the 2013 EICMA in Milan, Italy.
The Bimota BB3 is powered by a stock version of the successful mill which brings the acclaimed BMW S1000RR to life, and will therefore deliver 193 HP, which is really nifty for the 179kg (394 lbs) machine.

The weight savings also come from using a composite trellis frame around the power plant and employing carbon fiber for the rest of the bodywork. Even the upper clamp has been drilled into a trellis-like shape, retaining the full strength and shaving some weight off.

Brembo brakes, Oz rims and Öhlins high-performance suspensions seem natural choices for the Bimota BB3, juts like the state-of-the art traction and wheelie control, ABS and electronic shifter. Add in a Bimota-branded Arrow racing exhaust, too.

The Italian manufacturer is reorganizing operations and aims at building a solid business network and bring back reliability as a trademark for the brand. Only 40 such bikes are rumored to be manufactured, at least in the first run.
