2013 BMW M6 Coupe and Convertible Revealed

BMW has finally revealed the brand new M6, in both coupe and convertible forms. As was previously expected, both of them are powered by a 4.4-liter V8 engine that makes the same 560 hp as in the M5. Peak torque is also the same as in the M5, a meaty 680Nm (502lb-ft) between 1,500 and 5,750 rpm.

All the power is channeled to the rear via the standard 7-speed M-Double Clutch Transmission (M-DCT).

That was all to be expected, but now, here are the numbers you’ve all been waiting for. The standard -100km/h (62mph) sprint takes 4.2 seconds in the M6 Coupe and 4.3 seconds in the Convertible. Top speed is of course limited to just 155 mph (250 km/h), but the cars will do 189mph (305km/h) with the extra M Driver's package.

He also loves local car culture from all over the world, so don't be surprised to see him getting excited about weird Japanese imports, low-rider VWs out of Germany, replicas from Russia or LS swaps down in Florida.
